A Servant's Heart Part 1

God requires you to serve Him with everything you have, including your finances. Serving God requires a change in your attitude. When you serve Him, you will be more concerned with giving to others rather than keeping things for yourself. A true servant is willing to be inconvenienced for the sake of serving God and building His Kingdom.

  • God requires you to serve Him with all your heart, mind and with your entire being (Deuteronomy 10:12).God has commanded you to serve your earthly masters as service unto Him (Ephesians 6:5-8).

When you serve those in authority over you such as your employer, or pastor, you are serving God.

Serving God requires a change in your attitude.

Serve God with reverence and godly fear (Hebrews 12:28).

Serve the Lord with joy (Psalm 2:11, AMP).

A servant will serve with the right motive.

It displeases God when you serve Him with the wrong motives.

God cares more about your attitude than your achievements.

God is more concerned with your attitude than your acts.

  • The only way to prosper is to have a servant's heart.Prosperity is about serving God.He gives you things with which to serve Him.

God will give you more if you will use it to serve Him.

Prosperity should be used to serve God, not yourself only.

Look for opportunities to serve God.

    Do not be self-absorbed.

The heart of the opportunist will destroy the heart of a servant.

Be concerned with serving others and building the Kingdom of God (Philippians 2:19,20,22, AMP).

Don't be so concerned with your own interests.

Your interests must die before you can serve God.

He that loves his life will lose it; but he that loses his life will preserve it (John 12:25).

You will gain more from Christ by becoming a servant
    (1 Corinthians 9:19).

  • Greatness in the Kingdom is determined by servanthood (Matthew 20:26).

Jesus was a servant (Philippians 2:7).

He came to minister, not be ministered to.A true servant will display the following characteristics:

He makes himself available to God to serve.

He does what is needed, even when it is inconvenient.

He puts God above his schedule.

He sees interruptions as divine appointments to cultivate a servant's heart.

    He pays attention to needs.

His heart is revealed in the little acts he does.

He views no task as beneath him.The blessing shows up when you serve God (Exodus 23:25).

    God rewards the servant.

God will never forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10).

  • A true servant will use whatever he or she has to serve God.Whatever God has given you, use it to serve others (1 Peter 4:10, AMP).

The anointing is for service to others.
