Change yourself

Change yourself

Don't run from change, change yourself.

Dont be defeated

Dont be defeated

It is not God’s will for Believers to be defeated. To live successfully, we must be transformed by the entire renewal of our minds. However, learning is not necessarily changing. We are successful in life when we act on the things we have learned.

Renewing the mind is a process

Renewing the mind is a process

Renewing your mind is the key to changing your life (Romans 12:1-3). Renewing the mind is a process that takes time. When you renew your mind, you prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for your life.

If your thinking doesn't line up with the Word of God, it is wrong. The Word must be your final authority

Your mind controls your decisions and choices. Family, finances and relationships are all areas where you must make decisions. The degree to which your mind is renewed is the degree to which you will experience change in your life.

Change won't take place without the Word affecting the deepest parts of you. You can't just cut off the fruit without digging up the root. If the root is not removed, the fruit will grow back.

Your treasure is made up of your thoughts, beliefs, assumptions and the doctrines you have accepted as true.

You choose life or death, based on the treasure inside your heart. You control what you choose; however, after you make a choice, what you've chosen will positively or negatively control you.

Living the Life of Faith

Living the Life of Faith

There is a slogan that says, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” We allow our minds to be wasted when we adopt mindsets that oppose the Word of God.

Renew your mind daily

We must renew our minds daily to keep our thoughts in line with the Word

Behold A new person

When mind renewal begins to affect our subconscious thinking, we will see lasting change in our lives.

Renewing the Spirit of the Mind

Renewing the Spirit of the Mind

Renewing the mind is necessary to live a successful Christian life (Romans 8:5, 6; Romans 12:2).

What is Faith?

What is Faith?

If our thinking does not line up with the Word, we must change it. A fleshy mindset contradicts the Word of God, and leads to death. A spiritual mindset agrees with the Word, and leads to life and peace.

The Power to Change Yourself

Change is a continual process that begins with renewing your mind. When you change, you must get rid of some things in your life and add others. God has given you the power to change; and although it may be difficult and uncomfortable, it will bring healing and restoration in your life.

  • Change begins with renewing your mind.

Change is a process, not a one-time event.

Change means "to alter, shift or make different."

In order for change to take place around you, it must begin with you.

Change begins with renewing your mind and altering the way you think to line up with God's Word (Romans 12:1, 2).

Change can be a difficult process; however, it is necessary.

People love the result of change; however, they don't always like the process.

  • Change involves adding and subtracting things to and from your life.In order for change to happen, you must add and subtract things from your life.

    God works through relationships.

What relationships do you need to get out of your life?

Who do you need to allow into your life?

Doing the same thing and expecting different results is insanity.

Nothing will change unless you do something different.

There must be a putting on and a taking off to experience change.

For example, when you change a baby's diaper, you take off the old diaper, clean the baby and put on the new one.

You must put off the old man (how you used to be), and put on the new man (who you are in Christ). (Ephesians 4:22-24).

Many Christians, try to keep the old and then put on the new; however, in order to experience change you must get rid of the old, and then add the new.

  • It is possible to change.God has given you the power to change (2 Timothy 1:7).Power is the ability to change or get results.

The enemy will try to use your circumstances and emotions to make you think you don't have power, but the Word says you do.

You do not have to fear being unable to change.

The power to change is within you.

  • Change may bring unrest and mixed feelings, but we must not be afraid of it.

Although change may be found in the midst of trouble, we must be willing to go through the process.

When we step into troubled waters, we have an opportunity to be healed (John 5:2-4).

Many Christians want to avoid the trouble, but avoiding trouble often removes the opportunity for healing.

Jesus did not avoid trouble; He embraced the storm.

Jesus found peace in the storm.

We must learn how to find peace in times of trouble.

  • In order to fulfill God's will for our lives, we must change. There are four things you cannot change.

    Other people

    Your race

    Your gender

    God's will

There are ten commandments for change:In order for change to take place, you must:

    Have a desire to change.

    Stop making excuses.

    Take immediate action.

    Change how you see yourself.

Never go back to past sins.

Stop waiting for someone else to initiate change.

    Yield to the Holy Spirit.

    Never stop dreaming.

    Know what your purpose is.

Not be afraid of losing what you have.

Keys to Renewing the Mind

It is not God’s will for Believers to be defeated. To live successfully, we must be transformed by the entire renewal of our minds. However, learning is not necessarily changing. We are successful in life when we act on the things we have learned.

  • Go through the process and be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).The measure of thought and study you give to the truth will be the measure that comes back to you (Mark 4:24).

Living victoriously as Christians requires change.

Become a student of the Bible.

God’s Word is a lamp; reproofs of instruction are the way of life (Proverbs 6:23).

When faced with any situation or challenge, apply the Word of God.

Locate and understand your thoughts; know where you are in the process of renewing of your mind.

Know how far you have to go.

  • Implant the Scriptures inside your mind to implant something means to place it inside, on purpose (James 1:21, AMP).Many Believers think according to society’s standards.

However, God wants us to think according to His standards, not the norms of society.

When we transform our minds, we do so by reading and studying His Word.

We begin to think how He thinks.

Renewing the mind is a lifetime process because the old way of thinking will surface from time to time.

However, learn to recognize those thoughts that contradict God’s Word and standards.

Separate yourself from your unrenewed, ungodly way of thinking (Ephesians 4:21-24, AMP).

  • Like blind Bartimaeus, sometimes we have to be desperate for change (Mark 10:46-52,AMP).As Jesus walked with a crowd, blind Bartimaeus cried a desperate cry, begging Jesus to have mercy on him.

Many people told him to be quiet, but he cried out even louder until Jesus heard him.

Jesus called for him, asking “…What do you want me to do for you?”(Mark 10:51,AMP).

Jesus knew what the blind man wanted, but He wanted to see his faith.

Bartimaeus had faith that his situation could be changed, and, as a result, he received his sight.

  • Keys to renewing the mind.

Become aware of how you are thinking.

Be aware of how you should think.

Focus your thoughts on God’s thoughts.

Practice thinking the thoughts of God until they are your own.

Apply the thoughts of God to your everyday life.
